We had a wonderful time in this small hotel in Manzanillo. The location was beautiful and amazing, to get to nearest shop, the property overlooked terrace. What's more, it was just next door to the hike from Manzanillo to Punta Mona as well as frequent buses.

The setting was wonderful, right by the hike from Manzanillo to Punta Mona -- simply beautiful. A rainforest with visits from spider monkeys and other creatures. - Thoroughly enjoyed toast and jam at breakfast.

We felt like we got great value for our money. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and just a short walk to a stunning beach. The staff at El Colibri Lodge were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
One small thing that could make the breakfast even better is to offer a wider variety of options.

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, the garden was beautiful, breakfast was simple but sufficient with good coffee, and there was a good mosquito net for the bed. It was also nice to be away from the noise of the town.

I had the most tranquil experience at this lodge. Waking up to the beautiful sounds of nature was just mesmerizing. the rooms were well-maintained and spotlessly clean. the breakfast provided was delicious, with toast, jam, fresh fruit, and the most divine coffee. the lodge is conveniently located near Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo, making it easy to explore the area. the owner and his wife were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. the peaceful surroundings and abundance of hummingbirds and butterflies made it a paradise for nature lovers.
The Wi-Fi connection was slow and unreliable.

We fell in love with this hidden gem in the jungle! Our stay at El Colibri Lodge was absolutely wonderful. Situated in the forest, the property offered a unique experience where we were able to admire the beauty of the Costa Rican nature. From the terrace, we were able to see sloths, toucans, hummingbirds, snakes. The kind and friendly owners made our trip even more memorable with their helpful advice. The night tour in the garden was a fantastic experience, allowing us to see various species up close. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.
Would recommend this hotel.

During my stay at El Colibri Lodge, I was impressed by the genuine kindness and helpfulness of the owner and his wife. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. They even provided a cool box for my drinks and carried my luggage to and from the car. Each morning, they pointed out the various wildlife around the site, making me feel more connected to nature. The continental breakfast on the terrace with the geckos for company was a fun and enjoyable experience. The location of the lodge was also convenient, especially if you have a car, as it is close to Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo.
Although there were occasional noises from the road and the bed wasn't the most comfortable, these minor drawbacks did not outweigh the overall positive experience I had at El Colibri Lodge. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a friendly, informative, and enjoyable stay amidst nature.
